How it works
A floor quote over the phone is a guess, and guesses move once the work starts. Ours doesn't, because we measure the room before we write the number.
What we install
Fewer joints, cleaner lines, and the format most people want now. It is also the least forgiving: the subfloor has to be genuinely flat or every slab telegraphs it.
Natural stone moves, stains and chips differently from porcelain. It needs the right setting material, the right sealer and someone who has cut it before.
Waterproof, quiet underfoot and the practical answer for a whole floor on a budget. Looks like wood, survives Florida humidity like wood never will.
Fast to install and hard to scratch. The result depends almost entirely on the underlayment and on how tight the perimeter is cut.
Installed, sanded and finished, or refinished if the boards are still good. We seal it properly so it holds up to sun through the glass.
Outdoor floors in South Florida take sun, salt and standing water. Different setting material, different sealer, and the slope has to carry water off the slab instead of into the wall.

The part that separates installers
A 24 by 48 slab or a piece of travertine has no give. If the subfloor is off by a few millimeters, you get lippage on every edge, hollow spots underfoot and grout lines that crack within a year. Clicking laminate together hides those sins. Stone does not.

Before you hire anyone
No, and neither can anyone else honestly. The price depends on the square footage, the condition of the subfloor, how much old flooring has to come out and which material you pick. We come to the house, measure it and give you the number in that same visit.
We take it out, haul it away and prep the subfloor before anything new goes down. It is part of the job and it is in the written price, so it cannot come back later as a surprise line item.
No. Most people book the visit first and decide after seeing the numbers for two or three options side by side, in their own room, in their own light. Booking does not commit you to anything.
It depends on the area and on what the subfloor needs. What we commit to is a start date and an end date in writing before we begin, and you hear from us the same day if anything on site changes that.
Yes. We move it, protect it and put it back where it was. Tell us during the visit if anything is fragile, unusually heavy or has to stay plugged in, so we plan around it.
Yes, and it is most of what we do. Large slabs need a subfloor that is genuinely flat, a leveling system on every joint and cuts made on site. That is a different job from clicking laminate together, and it is where most installers get it wrong.
